Compassion and Understanding: Each member of the Karuna Team has experienced the tragic passing of a loved one. These experiences enable us to truly relate to the suffering of those left behind and respect the circumstances of this loss.

Karuna Team Profiles:

Annie Durham, Executive Director – Annie is a lifelong Colorado native, and has been trained and ABRA-certified at the National Institute of Decontamination Specialists in Piedmont, SC by renowned instructor Kent Berg. Her passion for helping others in this difficult and complicated process permeates the Karuna Team, and her training ensures an extremely high standard of service for all Karuna clients.

Beva Leyerly, Director of CTS Decon -   Also a Colorado native, Beva spent several years working in heavy equipment operations. He gained many years of training in MSHA,OSHA, and NIOSH training to include: HAZWOPER, HAZCOM; OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards such as Bloodbourne Pathogen Programs, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, and MSDS to name a few.

Jeremy Rhoads, Director of Restoration - Born and raised in a small farming community in Iowa, Jeremy find the values, morals, and work ethic instilled in his upbringing are the core components to his success now.  From a college graduate, to a carpenter, to a project manager (both commercial and residential), great pride is taken in his work. In his words, “I am honored to be a part of this incredible team, bringing compassion and excellence to the forefront of each home we enter.”

Vanessa Van Gieson, Executive Assistant and Insurance Liaison - Raised  in a small town in Southern Colorado, Vanessa graduated from Adams State College with degrees in Psychology and Sociology.  Following college, Vanessa spent two years working as an insurance agent, gaining invaluable knowledge of the industry. A tireless student and employee, she is now working for Karuna while attending Nova Southeastern University to obtain her Masters in Speech Pathology.
