Definitions of Services:

Bio-Remediation Services:

Scenes of Suicides and Homicides: Karuna exercises utmost discretion and respect when decontaminating the scene of a suicide or homicide. Our CTS Decon (Crime and Trauma Scene Decontamination) Team will initially arrive the scene to assess all potentially contaminated areas, and immediately commence work to create a safe, decontaminated environment.

***Please note our vehicles are unmarked so we may operate in the most discretionary manner possible out of respect for family and friends of the departed***.

Unattended/Delayed Find Deaths: In the event an individual passes and decomposition occurs before discovery, Karuna utilizes state-of-the-art technology and odor- and contaminant-removing techniques to eradicate any evidence of decomposition.

Industrial and Mass Casualty Accidents/Deaths: In these events, Karuna adheres to very strict, OSHA-compliant practices to decontaminate otherwise very dangerous work areas. These accident sites may include (but not limited to) production facilities, mass transit operations, and multi-vehicle highway accidents.

Distressed Properties/Trash Houses: Property owners and managers will encounter situations where previous tenants left the premises in a state of extreme filth, and new tenants cannot safely occupy the space until decontaminated and made suitable for living. Karuna uses the same meticulous care to create a safe environment for new tenants.

Restoration Services:

One very important service that sets Karuna apart from most bio-remediation service companies is that we do not leave it to the family to subcontract restoration work; Karuna provides the full solution to our clients by performing restoration services following decontamination.

Once decontamination has been successfully performed, our Restoration Team will then restore the scene so that no evidence of trauma has taken place, and we work with the family to restore the scene to their preference.
